Email Campaign Wizard

The email campaign Wizard allows you to send bulk email to Contacts in your list. It will only work for Contacts that have a Primary Email specified in their details. Every email sent is logged in each Contact's activity feed as a log of your communication with them.

A Note on sending Bulk Email

In almost all cases, you should use this feature with great care. Sending a bulk email inevitably means your message will lose any level of personalisation to the recipients, and will probably be interpreted as a template, "fire and forget" email.

When to use Bulk Email

If you have a Contact list of people who you know are happy to receive general news or information from you, sending bulk email is fine. It's best to use this for when you've already established a relationship with someone, and they will be more receptive to the lack of personalisation.

As a rule of thumb, if you are asking for something, never use bulk email. However if you are giving something (e.g. a free product, an offer of help or a report), consider using bulk email.

Using the Email Campaign Wizard

  1. Select Contacts
    To start, check the Contacts you wish to include in the Email Campaign from the list.
  2. Launch Email Campaign Wizard
    Click the Email Campaign Wizard icon in the toolbar
  3. Start
    Read the intro is you wish, then click Next
  4. Review Recipients
    Review the contacts you've selected from your Contact Database. Any inelligable Contacts (no email address) will be shown on the right
  5. Confirm Sender Details
    Review the sender details that will be used to send mail to the Contacts. These details are based on those you have set under your Email Preferences, which you may need to setup first. You can change these details for the use of the current Email campaign if necessary, however any changes you make here will not be saved over your existing email preferences .
  6. Message
    Specify the subject and message that will be sent to each recipient
  7. Send Emails
    The wizard is now ready to send emails. Click "send" when you are ready to start, and wait for the wizard to finish. This may take some time as each Contact in your campaign is send an individual email, rather than combining every recipient into one big "To:" list (a big no-no).
  8. Click finish to exit.
