An "applet" is a special type of software that installs inside
another piece of software. It's like a "plugin" or "add-on," but where
plugins tend to deliver a small, specific function; applets are fully pledged
software programs. In Really Useful Web Apps, multiple applets can be
installed and work together; creating a more powerful piece of software.
To install applets you purchase from the App Store, you must first
install the Really Useful Web Apps console application for
Microsoft Windows. Once installed, your applet can be downloaded within Really Useful Web Apps by
clicking the "Help" menu item and selecting "Check for Updates."
