About Really Useful Web Apps

Really Useful Web Apps is the creation of Chris Webb, a developer based in Sydney Australia. The idea for the software was to create a software environment website owners could use to accomplish all the tasks associated with the business side of running sites.

The component based nature of the software (Applets) was heavily influenced by the Apple iPhone "App Store", as it occured that the idea of software with it's own marketplace for extending the product would allow customers to tailor the experience to suit their needs. Additionally, the work to build this integration within Really Useful Web Apps means that unlike the iPhone, Applets installed within the software actually improve the functionality of existing ones.
